Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce PAC

The Chamber's political action committee is funded through voluntary contributions. The PAC Board of Directors has two responsibilities:

  • Making endorsement decisions on races for public office and ballot issues, by gauging the merits of each candidate and issue relative to the Chamber's Agenda for Economic Vitality.
  • Making decisions on the disbursement of PAC funds to campaigns.

The PAC Board is composed of 9 voting members: 6 selected from the Chamber's own Board of Directors; and 3 selected from the membership at large (all Chamber members are invited to apply for consideration). Members are chosen for their knowledge of business, government relations and/or economic development; and their commitment to the Agenda for Economic Vitality.

The Chair of the PAC Board is always the outgoing Chair of the full Chamber's Board of Directors. The Chair of the Business Advocacy Council is one of the Board member reps.

The Chamber's CEO and Director of Government Relations may participate in the PAC Board's deliberations but are not voting members.
